  3. New phone? Connect again and tap Restore. They’re back.

What’s backed up?

Your favorite GIFs, including ones you saved from GIPHY or your keyboard, and the app’s settings: theme, send delay, notification sounds, GIF search and autoplay, spelling corrections and your spam filter words.

What isn’t?

Your messages and the photos and videos in them, your contacts, phone numbers, and anything tied to one conversation, like pins and mutes. Your backup holds none of your conversations.

Is my backup private?

Yes. It lives in your DayKeep account and only you can see it. Your GIFs are never shared or made public.

How much can I back up?

The backup uses your DayKeep storage. Free accounts have 250 MB, and a dozen favorite GIFs take about 1 MB. DayKeep Pro has 10 GB.

What does it cost?

Nothing. The backup is free with any DayKeep account.

How do I restore on a new phone?

Install DayKeep Messaging, open Settings, then DayKeep account, and connect. When it asks “Restore from your DayKeep backup?”, tap Restore DayKeep’s settings.

Can I delete my backup?

Yes. In Settings, DayKeep account, tap Delete Messaging data from DayKeep. It removes the backup from your account and disconnects.

Is it on iPhone?

No. DayKeep Messaging is a texting app for Android. On iPhone, only Apple’s Messages can send texts.

When can I get it?
